A softer surface for everyday play
Hardwood, tiles and other hard flooring may be practical, but they aren't always the most comfortable surfaces for children playing at floor level. Adding a playroom carpet or rug creates a softer layer underfoot and provides extra cushioning for sitting, crawling and playing. Rugs can also help make busy play spaces more practical by:
- Providing a softer surface than hard flooring
- Adding warmth and comfort underfoot
- Helping define a dedicated play zone within a larger room
- Reducing noise from footsteps, toys and everyday activity
- Helping reduce slipping when paired with a suitable non-slip underlay
For added stability, always ensure your rug is positioned securely and consider using an appropriate non-slip underlay, particularly on smooth hard floors.
